NAAA TRACK&FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS IS NOT AN OLYMPIC TRIAL

NAAA TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS IS NOT AN OLYMPIC TRIAL

NAAA Track&Field Championships is not an Olympic trial.

“St Fort will likely put more emphasis on the Senior Track and Field Championships which is carded from June 24-26 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium as she seeks like many of T&T’s elite athletes to qualify to compete at this year’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero in Brazil in August.”

The NAAA championship is not a trial.
It has never been conducted as such.
Trinidad & Tobago do not have enough athletes to fill the lanes.
Therefore, there will not be any trial ever.
However, the NAAA requires that all athletes be present at this meet. This meet serves no meaningful purpose. It produces a psychologically depressive experience. It does not stimulate the mental synergy buildup necessary before a demanding Olympic games.
In T&T ,an athlete who places 1, 2,3,4,5, is not guaranteed to run an individual event or on the relay team or to be the alternate. This unpleasantness has interfered with the mental psyche of the following athletes within the past decade: Cedenio,Callendar,Brown,Burns,Sorillo,Solomon,Forte,Lendore,  Roudette ,they are all victims of this Machiavellian  practice.
Another mandated practice:  athletes must be prepared to over work an unnecessary expenditure of energy to their detriment.
They would not be utilized in the most effective position on relays. They must submit their talent
To the mercy of coaches who cannot make decisions.
.“St Fort excited spectators at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago qualifying in a time of 11.53 seconds but left them wanting after failing to line-up in the semifinal round and ultimately the final”   .St Fort 11.31 Pan Am Games 2015

How you can qualify for Rio 2016 in track and field.
1.      Do not hassle the NAAA!
2.       Know an executive member!
3.       Be NAAA media connection friendly!
4.      Achieve the Olympic qualifying standard.
5.      Write the NAAA regularly
Apart from the above best practice cultural connection irregularities.  The athlete should be trained on how to enter and test the highly-pressured, now-or-never competition known as the Olympic Trials.
Provide a situation  where the  athlete must demonstrate his/her skill in times, height ,and distance  that they  can compete against the best in the world.
For each major international track and field event such as the Olympic Games or world championships, the  (IAAF) creates a list of entry standards that athletes must have achieved to be eligible to compete in each event.
The window in which athletes can achieve the Olympic entry standards opened on May 1, 2015 and closes on July 11, 2016, meaning the Trials should be the last chance to get that standard.
Each country is allowed to enter a maximum of three athletes per individual Olympic event, provided those athletes have all met the entry standard. Those who do not meet the standard may be allowed to compete as a quota position.
The meet will be timed by Flash Results.
Preferred lanes:
Straight Sprint Races 4-5-3-6-2-7-1-8
Oval Sprint Races
5-6-4-3-(2-1)
