The Michael Johnson's Visit Should create significant learning experiences

The Michael Johnson’s Visit should create significant learning experiences.
His proven success and lifetime achievements, have given him the credibility to share his thoughts and ideas
The event will provide for interesting conversations well into 2017.
Johnson can only contribute in a meaningful way:
1.      If we had some structure in place for expansion in collaboration with the NAAA.
2.      If our coaches were not deficient in their preparation.
3.      If there was not a controlled group designed for emergency gathering.
4.      If it involves the NAAA and affiliates.
5.      If the target audience had meaningful notification and significance.
6.      If there will be meaningful distribution of information to the people intended to benefit.
7.      If it has the blessings of the Ministry of Sports.
8.       If it has the Ministry of Education.
Team TTO Rio 2016 review process. Isn’t  this a waste of meaningful time, involvement and constructive opportunity?
10 Golds by 2024 as a TTOC objective. Isn’t it a high performance hallucination journey!
“While searching for answers in a constructive and positive way”. The TTOC must see that NSOs’ put a developmental plan into action. Why isn’t the NAAA involved when their affiliates provided the main reason for Johnson’s visit? Without the Track & Field platform there is no TTOC, NAAA or Michael Johnson collaboration in T&T.
The NAAA has not extended invitations to coaches. Why? The TTOC and the NAAA should be working together on this project!
“Harnessing traditional high performance sport systems by using technology can radically change the way things have been done to benefit sports locally.” Can T&T participate in this conversation? Michael Johnson is a businessman is he selling his brand? What is the deal?
What do we have in place? At the end of the day this is good TTOC promotion and the TTOC’s attempted 2016 damage control.
Ten (10) Olympic gold medals by 2024- this statement was presented by the TTOC’s President Brian Lewis and echoed by many who should know better. This is just wishful thinking. Anyone wanting to achieve such a goal must formulate a plan that is Specific; Measurable; Attainable; Realistic; Time-bound. Hence the reason why this Wish, in isolation, remains just that, a wish.
It seems as though better sense wants to prevail. Would 2017 bring wisdom to move ahead, to place the cart in its proper position?
